Privacy Policy
How CooperWurks collects, uses, and protects data when you visit this site.
Last updated: March 6, 2026
1. Who we are
This website is operated by CooperWurks (“we”, “us”, “our”). For privacy-related enquiries, please use our contact form.
2. What data we collect
We do not operate user accounts or store payment information. We collect two limited categories of data: consent-based analytics data and contact form details that you choose to submit.
When you accept analytics cookies, the following data may be collected by our analytics provider (PostHog):
- Pages visited and time spent on each page
- Clicks and navigation paths through the site
- Browser type, operating system, and screen resolution
- Approximate geographic location derived from your IP address (country & city level only — your full IP is not stored)
- A randomly generated anonymous visitor ID stored in
localStorage - Referring URL (the page you came from)
Analytics data is pseudonymous and is not used by us to directly identify you as an individual.
Contact form data
When you submit the contact form, your name, email address, optional subject, and message are sent to Resend (our email delivery service) and forwarded to our email inbox. We do not store this data on our own servers.
Before submission, your email address is validated by ZeroBounce (a third-party email verification service) to ensure deliverability and prevent abuse. Only your email address is sent to ZeroBounce — no other form data is transmitted.
3. How we use this data
Analytics data is used solely to:
- Understand how visitors navigate the site
- Identify which pages and projects attract the most interest
- Improve site performance and content
Contact form submissions are used solely to respond to your enquiry. We do not use any data for advertising, profiling, or selling to third parties.
4. Our service providers
PostHog (analytics)
We use PostHog (PostHog Inc., 2261 Market Street #4008, San Francisco, CA 94114, USA) as our analytics platform. PostHog processes data on our behalf as a Data Processor under a Data Processing Agreement. PostHog's infrastructure for this site is hosted in the United States. If you are in the EU/EEA, your analytics data is transferred under PostHog's Standard Contractual Clauses. See posthog.com/privacy.
Resend (contact form email delivery)
Contact form submissions are processed through Resend. Resend receives only the data you enter in the form (name, email, subject, message) so it can deliver your message to our inbox. We do not store submissions on our own servers. See resend.com/legal/privacy-policy.
ZeroBounce (email validation)
We use ZeroBounce to verify email addresses submitted via the contact form. Only the email address is shared with ZeroBounce — no other personal data is transmitted. See zerobounce.net/privacy-policy.
Cloudflare Turnstile (bot protection)
Our contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to verify that submissions are from real people. Turnstile may collect limited technical data (browser characteristics, interaction signals) to distinguish humans from bots. No persistent cookies are set by Turnstile in managed mode. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
5. Legal basis for processing (GDPR)
If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom:
- Analytics: Consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). We do not collect any analytics data until you explicitly click “Accept Cookies” on the cookie banner.
- Contact form: Legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) — to respond to your enquiry. Email validation via ZeroBounce is necessary to ensure we can reply to a valid address.
- Bot protection: Legitimate interest — to prevent automated spam abuse of the contact form via Cloudflare Turnstile.
6. Cookies and local storage
We use localStorage (not HTTP cookies) to:
- Store your cookie consent preference
(
cw_cookie_consent) — so we don’t ask again on every visit. - If you accept: store the PostHog anonymous visitor ID
(
ph_...keys) used to count unique visitors across sessions.
You can clear all stored data at any time via your browser’s developer tools (Application → Local Storage) or by clicking “Cookie Preferences” in the footer and choosing “Decline”.
7. Data retention
PostHog retains analytics event data for 1 year from the date of capture, after which it is automatically deleted. Contact form data is retained in our email inbox only as long as necessary to respond to your enquiry.
8. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your data:
- Right to withdraw consent — click “Cookie Preferences” in the footer at any time and select “Decline”.
- Right to erasure — since all analytics data is anonymous and not linked to your identity, we are unable to isolate or delete a specific individual’s records. You can prevent future collection by declining cookies.
- Right to object — you may decline analytics at any time using the cookie preference link in the footer.
- Right to lodge a complaint — you have the right to complain to your local data protection authority (e.g. the ICO in the UK, or your EU member state’s DPA).
To exercise any of these rights or ask a question, please use our contact form.
9. Third-party links
This site links to external projects and services deployed by CooperWurks. Those sites operate independently and may have their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for their data practices.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
